Slask Wroclaw started the game easily as they made two three-pointers. When American shooter Qa’rraan Calhound made the team’s third triple, the guests took a 14-11 lead at the very beginning of the first quarter and it seemed the battle will be even till the final buzzer.
However, since the second quarter the game has changed out of all recognition. Dardan Berisha and Marcin Nowakowski came from the bench and gave a great power kick as they combined 14 points and Anwil firstly cut and secondly took a lead of eight points. When Lukasz Majewski made a triple and Nick Lewis made a dunk with the end of the first half, Anwil were leading 42:30.
It is worth adding that the Slask’s defense focused especially on Corsley Edwards but mentioned-above Lewis turned out to be a key-player as he had 10 points and nine rebounds after twenty minutes.
The hosts were trying to come back and speed up the game just after the break but Anwil controlled every single moment and moreover activated John Allen and Edwards. Both Americans scored 26 of 42 points of Anwil in the second half while Lewis added another 10 and grabbing one more rebound, secured his first double-double of the season.
Finally Anwil won over Slask 84:70 and it was the sixth victory of the team in a row.
