Till the middle of the first quarter everything went out for Anwil Wloclawek. The hosts played fast, behaved better in low post, forced PGE Turow Zgorzelec to make simple turnovers and the lack of Sied Hajric was not a problem. Anwil was winning 15:6 after five minutes.
Despite of the first problems, the headcoach Jacek Winnicki overcame the situation and his players started to take control of the game. David Jackson made three triples in a row and thanks to his twelve points, equalized the game to 18:18 even in the first quarter.
Anwil did not panic at all, but it was visible that Turow dominated on the floor. Daniel Kickert used Hajric's absence to make some easy baskets, Ronald Moore turned out to be quicker than Krzysztof Szubarga and the guests were leading 51:35 before the break.
