Turnovers kill once again

Anwil Wloclawek made 20 turnovers in the battle against Rosa Radom and that number of mistakes had to transform into the third Anwil's loss in the 2014/2015 competition as Rosa has won the game 77:71. The Rottweilers are following the path footworn by the team from the 2005/2006 season when the team started the season with four losses in a row.

It was an equal battle till the mid of the third quarter when Anwil lost a complete control of the game. For two and a half quarters the Rottweilers were playing as efficient basketball as their opponents so the lead was being switched from one hands to the other. Arvydas Eitutavicius who replaced Deonta Vaughn in the starting line-up, started with eights points in the first half while above-mentioned Vaughn added seven.

In the meantime, Chase Simon made 10 points before the break as he was the most efficient person among the Rottweilers that were just two steps behind the hosts (39:34). Moreover, when Konrad Wysocki added seven baskets while Eitutavicius made his fifth triple in a row, Anwil tied the game to 46:46. Unfortunately, that moment turned out also to be the moment that let two teams tell apart.

Rosa Radom players made a 16-0 run which was stopped by Mikolaj Witlinski a minute after fourth quarter's beginning. Anwil let its rivals made so many easy baskets due to some absurd turnovers, bad passes and inaccuracy in offense. In the first game, the Rottweilers had 18 mistakes, last game - 19, but in Radom that outcome even increased. Anwil made 20 turnovers that were crucial for the final result as they finally lost by six points only (71:77).

- We made a run but we were 16 points down with the fourth quarter. It's simply mathematics. We lost by six points but simultaneously we let Rosa made 25 points easy points after our turnovers. It explains everthing - said Eitutavicius who shouldered the burden when Anwil was chasing the opponents at the end. Lithuanian guard made more eight points (19 in total) but it was too less to change the game.
