Not only did Anwil Wloclawek beat Energa Czarni Slupsk for the third time in a row this season, but first of all they got promoted to the TOP6 stage after the regular season thanks to Saturday's in 82:76. The trio of Dulkys-Callahan-Hajric scored 57-of-team's-82 points.
Deividas Dulkys scored 22 points, making 14 of them in the second half and he led Anwil Wloclawek to the victory over Energa Czarni Slupsk. It was Anwil's third won game against Czarni in a row this season - the Rottweilers didn't let the Black Panthers win even a single battle during this competition. What's more important, that victory gave Anwil something definitely much more precious than another league win - it opened a door to the TOP 6 stage which automatically means the spot in the play-offs quarterfinal games. Anwil cannot be lower than on the sixth position before the final stage of the league.
Coming back to the game, Anwil built an easy lead just at the beginning. Above-mentioned Dulkys scored first eight points (two triples) in his three shot attempts, made two steals and two assists and the hosts took a 13-2 lead. That meant the guests opened the game as if they were still in the locker room. Nevertheless, they didn't give up and even before the break they were able to cut Anwil's margin to only six, 38:32.
When Jaroslaw Mokros made a triple right after the break, the team of Slupsk was just a step behind the hosts (38:35) but for the next couple of minutes there was only one team on the court that dominated and controlled everything - Anwil. Dulkys made a few triples, Mikolaj Witlinski gave a good spark coming off the bench and Seid Hajric and Mateusz Kostrzewski added some baskest in low-post so the team of Milija Bogicevic won that period 19-4 and increased its lead to 54:39.
For those who remember about the Andrej Urlep's presence on Energa Czarni Slupsk bench, it was obvious that the game didn't end in that moment and the Serbian coach is going to be back to the game. And it happened. Jordan Hulls turned out to be the key facter as he scored 9-of-his-11 points in the fourth quarter and Czarni made a big step, approaching to only 73:68 a couple of minutes to go.
Fortunately for the hosts, Jordan Callahan and Seid Hajric made only one mistake in eight free throw line shots, scoring seven of them and they sent the opponents to the locker room with a loss. Anwil finally beat Energa Czarni 82:76 and the trio of Dulkys, Callahan and Hajric scored 57-of-team's-82 points.
