D.J. Thompson started the concert making a triple at the very beginning, Anwil Wloclawek was winning 3-0 but it wasn’t an end. American player performed like a true point guard creating actions for his colleagues, dishing very important assists and scoring points. Especially Paul Miller gave some pretty passes so he scored nine points easily and the Wloclawek team was leading 14-6. Unfortunately, that margin made Anwil so sleepy and Polpharma players were able to decrease the lead to a 20-19 result.
In the second quarter Chris Thomas came on the floor and made two big triples but unfortunately the opponent struck a very strongly blow. Kamil Chanas answered with 13 points in the second quarter and Polpharma was leading 41:36 before the break.
Anwil made some easy mistakes in defense and wasn’t able to find a solution for a changeable defense of Polpharma. In the meantime Robert Skibniewski, Uros Mirkovic and Kirk Archibeque scored eight points in a row and the Starogard Gdanski team was leading by thirteen in the middle of the third quarter.
Polpharma threw down the gauntlet to Anwil but Seid Hajric decided to raise it. Polish forward made six points and a Polpharma’s lead started to decrease. Zoran Sretenovic’s players were still winning by thirteen (63:50) when Anwil players scored ten points so it was an only 63:60 lead.
The crucial moment of the game was when Deonta Vaughn made a triple and Robert Skibniewski scored four points very easily. Moreover Anwil made a 24 second mistake and lost the ball. Unfortunately that meant the loss in the final.
