The game against Kotwica at Kolobrzeg was the first of Anwil Wloclawek without Deividas Dulkys. Despite the lack of its best shooter, the guests took an easy win over the opponent 84:68. Jordan Callahan showed a good piece of basketball as he scored 20 points against his previous team.
The biggest question before the Saturday's game sounded: how will Anwil be able to compete withouit its best shooter this season on the roster - Deividas Dulkys. Lithuanian guard left the team a couple of days ago as the club agreed on the buy-out offer from Turkish Tofas Bursa.
And the game gave the clear answer - there is still life and hope for Anwil Wloclawek even without Dulkys. The Rottweilers took an easy win 84:68 over Kotwica Kolobrzeg as they were leading for the whole battle.
It was an extraordinary game for Jordan Callahan as the American playmaker had been playing for Kotwica for a couple of months until mid February when he changed his mind and put on the Anwil jersey for the first time. Callahan started the game focusing mainly on his teammates as he finished the first quarter with five points and three assists. They were Seid Hajric and Danilo Mijatovic who used his passes in the first quarter and Piotr Pamula who did a great job in the second one. The 24-year-old shooting guard completed all of his 13 points (three times behind the arc) without a single mistake before the break and Anwil was leading 42:34.
The hosts were trying to decrease the opponents' lead but they weren't successful at all. Every time they diminished a bit, Anwil answered two times stronger and when Callahan scored eight points in the third quarter, the scoreboard showed the biggest lead for the guests that afternoon - 61:43.
Summing up, the Rottweilers controlled every single piece and detail on the court without rebounding. Kotwica grabbed 18 offensive rebounds but they weren't able to exchanged them into points and finally Anwil beat the last ranking team 84:68.
Thanks to that win, Anwil secured the fourth spot after the regular season.
