Until the third quarter Anwil Wloclawek was following its game plan efficiently, as they were winning 34:31 before the break. Marcus Ginyard was playing the leading role as he scored 12 points in two quarters.
Anwil was also defending well - the three most important Trefl players: Filip Dylewicz, Frank Turner and Adam Waczynski made only 4-for-14 field goals shots and they scored 12 points altogether.
Unfortunately, the hosts lost control over the game after the break and they let they score 29 points in the third quarter - only two points less than they were able to accumulate in the first half. Adam Waczynski unblocked himself and scored 15-for-29 team points, but when Lorinza Harrington, ex-Anwil player, made two triples, Trefl took a lead of fourteen, 60:46.
The team of Milija Bogicevic didn't give up and they were working hard in the last quarter, being so close to tip the balance. When Nikola Vasojevic made a triple, Anwil approached to only five, 60:65. Unfortunately, the guests were too cold-blooded in the crunch-time and they stole the victory, winning by six, 70:64.
