It was a totally different game in comparison with the previous one between Anwil Wloclawek and Kotwica Kolobrzeg. Almost two weeks ago the fans in Hala Mistrzow watched a match finished with an over time, but now – the hosts easily beat the opponent 99:78 in Polish Cup.

D.J. Thompson was the guy who shined at the beginning. American point guard was too fast and two creative for Kotwica’s players and the hosts took a 13-4 lead. When it comes to Lukasz Majewski, Polish forward physically crashed his marking player and scored eight points in the first quarter while Anwil was leading 26-15.

Kotwica was trying to cut the margin, Anthony Fisher made some baskets and the guests were losing by six (30-24) in the middle of the second quarter. However, Anwile needed only five minutes to score almost twenty points, while Seid Hajric and Nikola Jovanovic added their shots, and they were leading by thirteen, 49:36.

Ted Scott, the best scorer of the whole league, scored only four points in the first half and what is worse, he got a technical foul at the beginning of the third period of the game. Frustrated, he came off the floor and Anwil easily increased its lead to a 75:57 result.

Chris Thomas made 14 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter and unexpectedly he turned out to be the best shooter of Anwil in this game. The hosts finally beat Kotwica 99:78 and got a promotion to the Polish Cup Final Four which takes place in Gdynia this weekend.
