The game was announced as a great battle of two the best Polish playmakers - Krzysztof Szubarga from Anwil Wloclawek and Lukasz Koszarek of Asseco Prokom Gdynia. Both players fulfilled the expectations as they led their teams in an every single part of the game but Koszarek turned out to be little better - he had 19 points, six assists and four rebounds while Szubarga noted 18 points, five assists and three rebounds.
Unfortunately for the host, Szubarga didn't get as much help as he could expect because, except for the playmaker, only Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz added double digits, making three three pointer in a row.
In the meantime Lukasz Koszarek won support from Przemyslaw Zamojski and Mateusz Ponitka. The shooting guard made six triples and was the best scorer for Asseco Prokom while 20-year-old swingman had 16 points, six rebounds, three steals and seven fouls drawn.
The guests started the game with leading 12:0 and Anwil scored its first game points in the sixth minute - by Szubarga's hands. However, the second and the third quarter were for the hosts as they were able to cut nine of the previous 12 points of loss. And when it seemed they can add the next powerful hit and equalize the game, the opponents threw some punches and didn't let Anwil score any basket for six minutes in the last quarter.
