Anwil was a favourite of that battle and everything went their way from the very beginning. Krzysztof Szubarga started the game shining as he made two triples in the first quarter and added another one in the next period. In that moment the hosts were leading 34:23 and definitely sped up the pace of the game.
The head coach Piotr Zych was trying to change something using a big rotation amongst his players. Nevertheless, nothing helped as Anwil were winning 43:29 before the break and 64:49 after three quarters.
Anwil controlled all the details on the floor so the head coach Emir Mutapcic could check Lawrence Kinnard’s skills in the game. American players, who had joined the team some days before, appeared on the floor in the first quarter and finally spent there almost thirty minutes finishing the game with 10 points, three rebounds and drew two fouls.
The hosts played without three players: Dardan Berisha and Seid Hajric who are getting better after they had got injured, and a new acquisition Taron Downey who joined the team on Thursday and was too fresh to come on the floor. However, the fact of the limited rotation wasn’t an obstacle to win the game easily 87:68.
