Anwil Wloclawek is going to exact revenge on them next week, because both teams are going to encounter in the play-offs quarterfinal.
Marcus Ginyard started the game with eight points, while Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz added two triples and Anwil was leading slightly 20:19, but Robert Witka was shining for the hosts at the beginning and thanks to his, and Przemyslaw Zamojski's points, Asseco Prokom had a margin of two after the first quarter (26:24)...
...and of nine (33:24) when Zamojski added a jumper in the 12th minute of game. Anwil Wloclawek didn't want to give up that easily and when the headcoach Milija Bogicevic changed the offensive strategy a bit, it worked. Ruben Boykin made some important shots while Krzysztof Szubarga, Arvydas Eitutavicius and Frasunkiewicz once again made three-pointers and Anwil was leading 47:45 with the break.
It is worth adding Eitutavicius came back to basketball after three months break caused by the shoulder injury. Lithuanian playmaker spent 15 minutes on the floor and made six points, proving that he're ready for the play-offs.
In the meantime Anwil increased its lead to even ten (67:57) before the last quarter and it seemed nothing bad is going to happen. However, nothing further from the truth - the last stage of the game tipped the scales for the hosts which activated their most experienced weapons: Zamojski, Piotr Szczotka and Rasid Mahalbasic. Eventually Anwil lost its fourth game in a row 85:90.
Nevertheless, Anwil players have a chance to exact revenge on Asseco Prokom in the near future as both teams are going to encounter in the play-offs quarterfinal games. The first battle at Gdynia on Saturday, April 27.
