Anwil Wloclawek won against PGE Turow in an away game in the 10th round of the second phase of Tauron Basket Liga. It was the first Anwil’s victory over a Zgorzelec team this season but maybe not the last because these two teams are going to meet in the play-offs.

The players of Anwil Wloclawek were extremely strongly motivated before the fourth-season battle against PGE Turow Zgorzelec becuase the last three games finished with the opponent's victories.

Such a concentration and motivation brought a great aggresiveness from the beginning. John Allen gave five points, Lukasz Majewski added nine while Nick Lewis sparked six in the first quarter and Anwil was leading 24:12.

The headcoach Jacek Winnicki made some roster changes, Ronald Moore and Dallas Lauderdale were sat on the bench, while Giedrius Gustas and Artur Mielczarek was designated to come on the floor. They both, collectively with Michal Chylinski, cut almost the whole Anwil's lead and the guests were winning only by four before the break - 43:39.

Lithuanian playmaker Gustas continued to play his best and thanks to his points, PGE Turow took its first lead in the middle of the third quarter (52:49 and 59:54). Nevertheless, Anwil was fortunate to have Nick Lewis in the roster - American forward scored 12 for his 18 points in that quarter and 12 for team's 20, so Anwil got the lead back (63:61 after 30 minutes).

Losing the advantage before the last quarter, PGE Turow was not able to produce a good piece of basketball. Anwil still continued to play an aggressive and strong defense which turned out to be key in that battle, eventually won by Anwil 79:76.
