The Polish champion team, Stelmet Zielona Gora, had too many assets and easily moved in for the kill playing against Anwil Wloclawek. Lukasz Koszarek turned out to be a high-class orchestra conductor and he led his team to win over the hosts 77:68. Mateusz Kostrzewski had double-double of points and rebounds for the Rottweilers.
When Anwil Wloclawek players woke up from the afternoon nap, the Polish champion built up a margin of eight points, winning the opening quarter 24:16. The team of Milija Bogicevic has got completely different aspirations than Stelmet Zielona Gora but the beginning of the game revealed also a big disproportion between those two teams when it comes to a sports potential.
Stelmet felt blood at the beginning as Christian Eyenga scored 12 in the first half and his team was leading by 17 at the end of the second quarter (38:21). Fortunately for the hosts, they were able to cut that huge lead to 'only' eleven thanks to Jordan Callahan and Seid Hajric. The captain scored also two free throws just right after the break and Anwil approached to Stelmet to the distance of seven only...
Nonetheless, Stelmet was able to answer. And made it many times that afternoon. The whole game picture could be described as 'the hosts were chasing and the guests were running away. And they finally ran away". Lukasz Koszarek morphed into an orchestra conductor of a world-class level as he made 14 of his 16 points in the second half. Moreover, he added eight assists, four rebounds and four steals. Playing as a mentor and a leader, he led Stelmet to the win of 77:68.
Despite the lack of Deividas Dulkys, it was the best Anwil's game against the champ. The Rottweilers were trying to steal the show for 40 minutes long and they didn't let Stelmet have a rest even for an action.
Mateusz Kostrzewski finished the battle with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds while Piotr Pamula launched his all 14 points with four triples in the second half. Seid Hajric was also solid against Vlado Dragicevic.
That loss means Anwil has to start its victorious track on Sunday against Energa Czarni Slupsk. That can be the most essential game for the Rottweilers in the phase of TOP6.
