Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz is going to fill the small forward spot in Anwil Wloclawek. Extremely experienced, 33-year-old guy is coming back to Wloclawek after seven seasons. Last time he became a champion with Asseco Prokom Gdynia.

Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz debuted in Anwil’s jersey in 2004. In the team led by Andrej Urlep, he performed 17 times, averaging 6,4 points per game, 2,3 rebounds and 1,8 assists. Eventually both sides decided to terminate the contract by a mutual agreement because of the differences between the player and his coach.

– Przemek stills remembers the atmosphere here in Wloclawek. He realizes that the pressure in the city is huge, but he also knows that the club assures the comfortableness. I am sure such experience will let him find himself in the team and fulfill the expectations – said the headcoach Dainius Adomaitis.

After the failure with Anwil, Frasunkiewicz made a decision of moving to Energa Czarni Slupsk, which turned out be one of the most important in his sports career. He was chosen as a team captain and led the team to the bronze medal in the 2005/2006 competition. At that moment he averaged 12,2 ppg., 4,2 rpg. and 2,6 apg. In 2008 he moved to Warsaw but after two years he joined the Polish multichampions – Asseco Prokom Gdynia.

Early the left-handed small forward didn’t play big minutes, but at the flux of time, his role was being increased by the headcoach Tomas Pacesas. At some moment, he became, next to the center Adam Hrycaniuk, the most essential Polish player on the team who got a great impact on the club’s shape in the play-offs. He gave a good efficiency on shooting and made few mistakes.

Now, Adomaitis hopes that the experienced player will confirm his abilities in Anwil. – He prepossesses me in the play-offs. He did a great job and played so smartly, giving his team calmness. I want him to play like that in Wloclawek and I am sure he will manage – said Lithuanian coach.

Frasunkiewicz has signed a one-year deal which can be extended for another.
