Anwil Wloclawek made free throw shots better than the opponent at the end of the game and finally beat Kotwica Kolobrzeg 87:85 in a thrilling battle after an over time.
It was a 74:74 draw and 60 seconds to go when the ball was in Kotwica’s hands, but Tomasz Zablocki made a bad distance attempt and the scale turned into hosts’ side. Paul Miller, who played an amazing offensive game earlier, scored two points and added another one from free throw line and it seemed that Anwil won the battle. Especially as the best scorer of Kolobrzeg team, Ted Scott, made only one FT and Nikola Jovanovic drew a faul. Unfortunately, Serbian forward missed two chances and Scott answered with two made which meant the over time.

Scott opened additional time with a jumper, while Darrell Harris scored two points and Kotwica were leading 82:77 with three minutes left. Then the deadlock was broken by D.J. Thompson who made a triple and simultaneously made the guests stop playing efficient offense. Scott was even doubled by Anwil guards and the guests had no other idea to get easy baskets. Moreover, Kotwica players made some mistakes in defense while Andrzej Pluta and Thompson ended the game successfully by scoring free throws.

Paul Miller had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds while Nikola Jovanovic added another one consisted of 18 points and 11 rebounds. Ted Scott made 32 points for Kotwica but he made only 9 of 27 FG attemps.
