PGE Turow Zgorzelec stole the victory in Wloclawek beating Anwil in the 23rd round of Tauron Basket Liga. The hosts saved their life thanks to Dardan Berisha who equalized the game before the end of the fourth quarter but PGE Turow won the game in the overtime.

Ronald Moore had amazing eight rebounds, Aaron Cel and Daniel Kickert added seven each while Konrad Wysocki and John Edwards grabbed five rebounds each and that element turned out be a key one on Friday’s game. PGE Turow outrebounded Anwil 45:33, including 15:12 in the offense.

John Edwards was a game hero, as the head coach Jacek Winnicki let his talents exploded giving him the season-high 24 minutes on the floor. American center use that time as he made 8-for-11 from the field and scoring 22 points, led the team to an amazing victory.

David Jackson played efficiently in the crunch time as he did some clutch little things in the overtime. Firstly he scored a triple (78:73) and secondly rejected a fast-break Krzysztof Szubarga’s shot just 20 seconds to go when the team of Zgorzelec was winning 80:76. Finally he made four three throws which set the final result to 84:79.

Corsley Edwards shined on the other side of the court, scoring 16 points, while Lorinza Harrington did a great job in scoring (14), creating (four assists) and defense (4 rebounds and 3 steals) but they couldn’t tip the balance. Dardan Berisha was the guy who equalized the game before the end of the fourth quarter, making a lay-up jumper, and sent the game to overtime but generally it wasn’t a good game for him as he had some problems with efficiency.
