When Stelmet Zielona Gora reached its game-biggest lead at the beginning of the last quarter (77:71), it seemed that they are not going to let the win go away. But Anwil had nerveless Krzysztof Szubarga who finished two consequtive actions with triples equalizing the result to 77:77.
Three minutes to go the guests were still drawing the game 81:81, however, unfortunately, it was the last Anwil heartbeat. When Walter Hodge and Quinton Hosley scored easy points the guests weren't able to find the answer and finally lost the game 84:90.
It is worth adding that the Rottweilers started the battle shining - Marcus Ginyard and Seid Hajric had no problems with Stelmet defense as the built the first significant lead (20:9) in the middle of the first quarter. Nonetheless, it was the first... and the last such a substantial margin of the guests - Stelmet made the game even with the break (50:50).
Rob Jones was the factor who surprised Anwil with his solid performances consisted of 18 points and nine rebounds.
Anwil could rely on Hajric, Ginyard, Szubarga and Boykin who collected 63 od 84 team points.
