In 2009/2010 season Lukasz Majewski represented Polpharma Starogard Gdanski and averaging almost about 9 points and more than 5 rebounds per game, he managed to play his best season in whole career. What’s more – his team has reached a third place in Polish Championship so the player has added his first medal to his collection in professional basketball
After that successful period of time, Majewski agreed to terms of contract with a runner-up Anwil Wloclawek. In fact, Polish forward put his signature under a deal of one season with an option of extension for another two years after each of them. Majewski joined Anwil with great hope of achieving at least the same success as he did it a year before, but unfortunately nothing like that happened. Anwil finished its season losing against Trefl Sopot in the play-offs quarterfinals.
However, Majewski proved his features like passion, ambition, bravery, anticipation, commitment and team playing and after Emir Mutapcic was named as a head coach of the team for the 2011/2012 season, he decided to keep Polish forward in his roster.
- The only thing I would like to express is just great happiness that my work has been appreciated. I am the person who does everything with an attitude of 100 per cent. Last season it turned out to be not enough so I can promise Anwil fans that I will do even more next year - the player said.
Lukasz Majewski is 29 years old. In his career he had already played in AZS Radom, Znicz Jaroslaw, Polpharma Starogard Gdanski and Atlas Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski. In 2010 he debuted in Polish National Team and he played in EuroBasket 2011 Qualifications.
