Playing with only seven guys, Anwil Wloclawek wasn't able to compete successfully against Rosa Radom in the quarterfinal play-offs game number five, and lost 68:74. It seemed as the Rottweilers were struggling not only against the opponent, but also against fatigue and tiredness.
There were little chances for Anwil Wloclawek to win the battle number five of the play-offs quarterfinal series. After a Michal Sokolowski's injury, the next guy who were struggling due to bad health conditions was Piotr Pamula what meant that the team's rotation was limited to only six players in the most important game.
Nevertheless, Pamula decided to perform in the game not focusing on pain, however he wasn't able to secure the spot in the semifinals. Having more depth of the roster, Rosa Radom didn't let Anwil win in front of their own fans for the first time this season against them and it was the Wojciech Kaminski's team that got promoted to the best four of the league.
Rosa played team-oriented basketball that helped them in leading 67:51 in the 34th minute of the game. Nonetheless, Anwil never gave up and trying to find the last of energy, went for broke. Jordan Callahan didn't calculate just made some shots, Mateusz Kostrzewski and Danilo Mijatovic worked hard in defense while Paul Graham added some baskets. When Kostrzewski showed off with a great reverse lay-up, Anwil decreased its deficit to only two - 68:70. Moreover, Kostrzewski drew a foul on Lukasz Majewski in the next action and Anwil got the ball just 20 seconds to go...
Struggling against the opponent with a full roster and against fatigue, the Rottweilers still had a chance to win the game and win the series. Unfortunately, Jordan Callahan missed the last shot and it was Rosa Radom that stepped into the semifinals.
