Anwil Wloclawek were even leading after two quarters 36-35 but in the second half the visitors from Samara showed a piece of extraordinary basketball and finally beat Anwil 98:83. Primoz Brezec scored 25 points and had 12 rebounds.

Slovenian center began the game very well and scored eight points in only two minutes as Krasnye Krylia stole Anwil’s lead (13:11) and made the result into 26-19 after ten minutes. At the beginning of the second quarter the situation get worse for Wloclawek, because the visitors increased their leading to nine points, 30:21, because of Gerald Green, ex-NBA slam dunk contest winner, who shined at that moment.

Probably no one expected that Anwil will be able to cut the lead but it happened. The temporary head coach, Krzysztof Szablowski, made some corrections in the roster, as D.J. Thompson and Stipe Modric came on the floor, and the hosts started playing better. Paul Miller gave an extra backup in low-post and when Andrzej Pluta scored two free throw shots, Anwil were leading 36-35 before the break.

Nikola Jovanovic upped Wloclawek lead to 40-37 before Alexander Ansimov, Green and Brezec combined on a 0-11 run that propelled the visitors to a 40-48 lead. However, Anwil were able to answer as soon as lost the advantage. Qyntel Woods got a technical foul, while Lukasz Majewski and Pluta made two triples and the hosts were leading 50:48 and 59:56 some moments later, however Jermareo Davidson stole the lead at the end of the third quarter so Krasyne Krylia were winning 63:60.

The scoring pace remained wicked as Samara pushed ahead 67-72 early in the final quarter, but it wasn’t the end. Brian Rush made two three-points shots in a row, while the same was done by Anisimov and Russian team were leading 80:67. Anwil were trying to come back once again but Brezec made three consecutive baskets easily and he snuffed Wloclawek’s hope. Slovenian big man had an amazing double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Gerald Green added 22. Paul Miller had 19 points for Anwil.
