It is believed that Lawrence Kinnard is able to play on both forward positions due to his terrific dynamics, quickness and intelligence. He can score from the perimeter as well as from the post what he had proved in the previous years.
Since 2009, for two seasons, American forward had been wearing a Trefl Sopot jersey and he had played one of the key roles in the team. In his first year (which was his first in a professional career after a graduation from the University Alabama Birmingham) he averaged 11 ppg. and 7 rpg. while in the second one – 9 ppg. and 5 rpg.
What is more interesting, Kinnard’s best play took place in January 2010 when Trefl battled against... Anwil Wloclawek. American forward then scored 31 points and had 6 rebounds, but Trefl lost.
- Some part of our problems arose because of the limited rotation possibility. Now, when Lawrence is with us, we are sure that this situation will bring only positive effects – said the headcoach Emir Mutapcic.
The one-year contract which was signed by both sides on Friday is going to reach the statue book when the player passes the medical examinations.
