Krzysztof Szubarga is not a person that needs to be presented. There are only several Polish players who are such diehard like a 28-year-old point guard. Always filled with energy, always motivating and the first to devote, Szubarga is one of the best Polish playmakers in the league. Being self-confidence in every send of word, he also showed his character in the negotiations with the club.
– Krzysiek is the man who is adamant on and off the court. The negotiations with him were quite difficult but both sides were pursuing the agreement. I am very satisfied that we have finally reached the extension because with Krzysiek included in the roster our team will be stronger – said the president of the club, Arkadiusz Lewandowski.
Szubarga is the second, after Seid Hajric, face who has decided to stay in Wloclawek, which is like home for him. – Both players are ready to sacrifice and fight. And that’s what I need in my team. I want them to show the rest of the team that we have to put a great effort in every practice or game in order to reach success – added the headcoach, Dainius Adomaitis.
Last season a 28-year-old point guard was the only one player who performed in all 38 season games and who started each of them in the starting five. He averaged almost 11,9 points per game and added 4,3 assists. He impressed especially in three-point shots efficiency that reached the level of 41 percent.
– I am sure he will be leading this team. I am also certain that he will shoulder the burden. What’s more important, I am not thinking about basketball cases, but also about things which are more, let’s say, off the court – Adomaitis added.
The contract between the sides will be valid until June, 2013.
