American center Keith Clanton is not a player of Anwil Wloclawek any longer. His contract has been terminated by a mutual agreement and the reason was the foot injury that precludes him from playing on a high level this season.
Keith Clanton has played 15 league games for Anwil Wloclawek and he has turned out to be the best rebounder (6,5 rpg.) on the team, the third scorer (11,5 ppg.) and moreover he has been adding to the team's account 1,5 apg. and 1,1 spg. Unfortunately, in the game against Trefl Sopot, he got injured seriously while he was trying to make a dunk. The examinations showed a foot fracture.
- Keith's foot was put in a special cast for at least six weeks. During that period of time, Keith cannot move and, what's obvious, cannot practice what additionally means he is going to face the problems with his sports shape - the coach Dominiki Narojczyk says.
- The absence of American doesn't mean we want to replace Keith with another player. Those guys who are still on the team, have to bridge the gap. In the meantime we wish Keith all the best and fast recover - adds the president of the club, Arkadiusz Lewandowski.
- If Keith had a chance to stay on our team until the rest of the season, I am sure he would develop as quickly as he has been making progress for the last couple of months. I have no doubts that his presence would help us much and next season he would play in a better league for a better team. Of course, that future isn't blighted but firstly Keith needs to recover. I hope he will make it soon - says the headcoach, Milija Bogicevic.
