Since the very beginning of playing for the Knights from the University of Central Florida, Keith Clanton has been demonstrating outstanding skills in low-post. He nailed the spot in the starting five in his first season in the NCAA and later he never gave it away.
Averaging 14,8 ppg., 8,5 rpg., 2,5 apg. and 2 bpg. in his senior season, he got an invitation of showing his talents in the NBA Summer League playing for the Orlando Magic.
Anwil Wloclawek took advantage of the fact Clanton didn't get a contract proposal from the Magic and signed a contract for a season.
- I want him to play one-on-one as much as it's possible. Keith is very fit and very efficient so we will want to use his natural abilities. He can play near the basket but also on the perimeter so we must take the chance - says the head coach of Anwil, Milija Bogicevic.
Playing for the Knights, Clanton was performing as a power forward. In Poland he will be playing more as a center. - I am sure he will be able to fulfill my expectations. I think he's creative enough to use his quickness, mobility and fitness in order to dominate in low-post - adds Bogicevic.
