Dusan Katnic is not the player of Anwil Wloclawek any longer. On Thursday, his contract has been terminated by a mutual agreement. - After Keith Clanton's injury we need to make some adjustments so this is why we have decided to break off the deal with Dusko - says the headcoach, Milija Bogicevic.

After 17 rounds of Tauron Basket Liga the headcoach Milija Bogicevic has decided to give up on his playmaker Dusan Katnic. 24-year-old player was averaging 9,8 ppg., 2,5 rpg., 3,9 apg. and 2,9 tpg. (EVAL 7,2). He played only a bit better in Polish Cup - 13,3 ppg., 4,3 rpg., 4,3 apg. and 1,8 tpg. (EVAL 13,5).

The headcoach of Anwil found Katnic's play as insufficient, obviously when it comes to the club's ambitions. This is why the club and he have decided to terminate the player's contract by a mutual agreement. - After Keith Clanton's injury we need to make some adjustments so this is why we broke off the deal with Dusko - says Milija Bogicevic.

Such a scenario was extremely hard to be predicted six months ago. Katnic came to Wloclawek as a guy with a great past - he was the U18 European Champion and World Champion. Moreover he reached the championship of the EuroBasket U20, two championships of Belgium. In the pre-season time in Anwil he was definitely the best player on the team and the headcoach Bogicevic compared him with Milos Teodosic.

Unfortunately, his shape was leaving much to be desired during the season. The club, the coaching staff and the fans, all expected much more from Serbian. - We have been waiting for his coming back to the good shape too long. Maybe he will be playing better in any other club. I wish him all the best - adds Bogicevic.
