Anwil Wloclawek won over Asseco Prokom Gdynia clearly in the third game of the play-offs quarterfinals, winning 71:56. The hosts started the game shining offensively as they were winning 20:1 at the beginning. 25 points were given by the team captain, Krzysztof Szubarga.

It was probably the best quarter that Anwil had played since the beginning of the season. Milija Bogicevic's players started the third battle being extremely well-focused on their goals: pass the ball quickly in offense and be well-organized in defense.

Good attitude and positive thinking made Anwil score 9-of-15 shots (2/12 Asseco Prokom's) and have 11 rebounds (6), seven assists (1) and four steals (0). Marcus Ginyard scored 10 points in only eight minutes - more than the whole team of the guests.

Thus Anwil was leading 26:8 after ten minutes and 40:22 with the break. Unfortunately, the third quarter reminded the worst memories for the TOP6 phase - Anwil lost it 13:26 and had only five points of advantage before the last period of game.

However, Asseco Prokom put too much effort to the pursuit and they weren't able to cut the whole lead. After Przemyslaw Zamojski's triple the hosts were winning only 47:44 but they needed only a couple of minutes to built next ample margin - it was 67:50 in the middle of the last quarter when Krzysztof Szubarga made both free throws.

The captain of Rottweilers shone from the very beginning as he scored 25 points, while Marcus Ginyard added 22. Nonetheless, it was the team's effor in defense that let them shine in offense. Anwil is just a step from the semifinals!
