Jordan Callahan scored 22 points and led Anwil Wloclawek to the victory over Rosa Radom 66:64 in the game that could be called 'the 40 minute three-point contest'. Both teams made 60 triples in the whole battle, but Anwil turned out to be slightly more efficient. It was the second win for the Rottweilers in the TOP6 phase.
Jordan Callahan has played his best game in the current season since he joined Anwil Wloclawek. American started the battle very well as he was the guy who kept the game for the Rottweilers when Rosa Radom started with 9:0 lead. He scored 13 points in the first period of the game and thanks to his effective play the guests were only a point behind the hosts, losing 18:19 after 10 and 30:31 after 20 minutes.
The game was very equal from the very beginning. Rosa needed to handle without their starting five center Kirk Archibeque as American got an injury a couple of days before the competition. Archibeque's absence was the reason why the headcoach of Anwil Wloclawek Milija Bogicevic decided to use a zore defense for the whole 40 minutes. And the plan worked out as Anwil lost only 64 points.
Rosa made only 12-for-36 distance attempts as the Rottweilers left them much space behind the arc. The Anwil's defense was as effective that the Radom team almost forgot about shooting from the post, making only 10-for-25 two-point shots attempts.
Both team were playing neck and neck but it was Jordan Callahan who eventually tipped the balance for Anwil. American playmaker scored six points the last quarter, making 3-for-4 clutch free throws in the crunch time. All in all Callahan scored 22 points what turned out be his best result in Anwil's jersey. Anwil won its second game in TOP6 and is placed on the fifth position being only one point behind the fourth Rosa.
The next game between both teams is on Sunday.
