Jordan Callahan has become a heir of Dusan Katnic in Anwil Wloclawek. American playmaker started this season in Kotwica Kolobrzeg, but Monday turned out to be the day when Callahan changed the jersey. - We hope that he's going to make a great debut against Polpharma next Saturday - says the headcoach Milija Bogicevic.
The Jordan Callahan's transfer from Kotwica Kolobrzeg to Anwil Wloclawek can be one of the most interesting this winter in Tauron Basket Liga. 23-year-old American was thought to be very distinctive player during his period on the coast and now, he has received a chance to show his talents and skills in a team from the top. Big aspirations mean also big pressure. Will he manage?
There is a big chance of that. Callahan, who is debuting in his professional career this season, had been the most important guy in Kotwica. He had been playing very equal, showing good basketball as a playmaker and as a shooter. He finished his adventure in Kolobrzeg with 15,8 ppg. (46 per cent of FG and 42 per cent of 3PTS), 3,6 apg. and 3,3 rpg.
The headcoach Milija Bogicevic was thinking about bringing Jordan to his roster a couple of weeks ago, so when Dusan Katnic left the team, he didn't hesitate even for a second. - Jordan is a completely different player from Dusko. First of all, he's very talented when it comes to shooting. I don't even need to underline it, the fans can just look at the league statistics and pay attention to the fact whose name is on the third place. Nevertheless, I hope he will help us in playmaking and creating our offense much. The transfer to Anwil means also a chance to him and I am sure he's aware of that - says Bogicevic.
A graduated from Tulane College will make his debut in Anwil's jersey on Saturday against Polpharma Starogard Gdanski.
