Anwil Wloclawek started the game easily and built a little margin of six points before the second quarter (21:15). Krzysztof Szubarga created the offensive strategy for the hosts well, scoring eight points while Nikola Jovanovic added six. Nevertheless both players added nothing in the next part of the game and Asseco Prokom firstly cut the lead and secondly, thanks to Piotr Pamula's three pointer with the half buzzer, took a 34:33 lead with the break.
Unfortunately, the second quarter was a forerunner of what happened later. Right after the break Asseco Prokom dominated all of the basketball elements on the court and hammered the lead of 22 points out thanks to an amazing performance of Robert Witka. Polish forward, and ex-player of Anwil, scored 17 points in that quarter, making 6-of-6 field goal.
The hosts were trying to change the image of the game and they even won the last quarter by sixteen, but it was not enough and it was too late to tip the balance. The Polish champion controlled the pace and the rhythm of the game till the final buzzer and deserved to win by twelve, 84:72.
