Some weeks ago Seid Hajric highlighted that he cannot imagine playing out of Wloclawek. Fortunately for him, the board of the club has proposed him a three-year extension deal which has been already sealed by both sides.
- I don’t even want to think what may happen in the future if the club doesn’t offer me the contract. I feel extremely connected with the city of Wloclawek and this team. I can’t imagine playing out of Anwil, however sometimes it doesn’t go as you wish - Seid Hajric told the media a couple of weeks ago.
Currently, the 29-year-old forward does not need to worry about anything. The board of Anwil Wloclawek, in agreement with the headcoach Dainius Adomaitis, offered him a three-year extension deal which was obviously signatured by both sides immediately.
- I am happy that we are starting building the roster with the basketball player that is so loyal and true to the club. Since he joined the team, he has been consistently working for his stature and reputation and right now he has a great opportunity to be one of the key players in my team - said Dainius Adomaitis, the headcoach of Anwil.
Last year and a half Hajric spent in Anwil and it was his second approach to this club. He firstly joined the team in 2004 when he was only 21 and spent here three years. The Wloclawek team transferred him in order to fill the power forward spot. Nowadays, Polish player (when was given a Polish passport he needed to bring his Bosnian passport back) seems to be more versatile as he is able to play as power forward as well as the center.
Last season was the career best for Hajrić. 29-year-old big guy averaged 9,0 ppg. and 5,2 rpg. playing 12-for-25 games in the starting five.
The deal will be valid until the June, 2015, however there is an option of the contract termination after each season unilaterally by the club.
- The most important thing is for me that the headcoach wanted to keep me in the roster. I am get on well with Anwil but I would never sign a deal if I knew that the headcoach could be displeased - said the player.
