It was the fifth Anwil's win in a row. Extremely efficient defense and consequence for the whole game long led the guests to grab a 71:64 victory over Energa Czarni Slupsk. Not only did Anwil climb the league ladder but they also became the first team that won the game at Slupsk this season.

Garrett Stutz got injured a week ago and Anwil coaching staff knew about that Energa Czarni's loss. Nevertheless, Milija Bogicevic and his assistants didn't want to base their strategy upon the injury only, they were going to create the game events themselves.

The main Anwil's idea was to stop Jordan Hulls on pick and rolls and Rocky Trice on one-on-one plays. The second American stopped himself as he reinjured his foot in the second half while the first one was cut out by Anwil defense indeed. The guests played hard show each time Energa Czarni wanted to use pick and roll in order to find the way to the basket and thanks to that gameplan, they were winning 36:30 after two quarters.

Mateusz Jarmakowicz replaced Stutz in the starting five but despite 18 points, he didn't lead Czarni to any success. Anwil bug guys, and especially Seid Hajric, did a great job on a defensive end of the court while Deividas Dulkys and Michal Sokolowski worked hard in offense.

Lithuanin scorer had 19 points (nine made just after the break) and Sokolowski added 16. Anwil were leading 53:40 in the middle of the third quarter and 57:47 before the fourth one. Nonetheless, Energa Czarni were able to decrease the guests' lead to only three, when Marcin Nowakowski made a triple (58:61).

Anwil were playing efficiently for the whole game but could have lost the effort because of a moment of oblivion. Fortunately, Anwil had another ace up the sleeve - Danilo Mijatovic. Serbian forward was trying to score from the very beginning but missed all of his first seven attempts. Nevertheless, he put on a brave face and scored five points in the crunch-time that finally helped Anwil in winning the game.
