Wojciech Glabas comes back to Anwil Wloclawek after one-year loan spent in Polonia 2011 Warsaw. 21-year-old forward is planned to be number five in the team’s frontline.
Wojciech Glabas (2,04 m) can play on both frontline positions: power forward and center, however more natural for him is that first one. Last season he played for Polonia 2011 Warsaw where he had been loaned from Anwil Wloclawek. The board of Anwil decided to send him to the lowest division in order to let him play as long as he couldn’t in Wloclawek. That decision turned out to be right because Glabas played averagely 27 minutes per game, scored 10,2 points and grabbed 5,3 rebounds.
- I watched his video games and I need to say he presented very well on them. Despite his young age and no experience, he managed to play in that league on a good level. Moreover, he showed that he is quite skillful player but he needs some guidance and help to achieve A-level of Polish basketball. In my opinion he will be the fifth frontline player in a game protocol – said Emir Mutapcic, the headcoach of Anwil.
Glabas made his debut in Anwil in Polish top league at the age of 19, but generally he appeared on the floor episodically. Now he will have a chance to show his abilities and talents. – I don’t doubt he has a potential so we will be trying to let him develop – added the head coach of Anwil.
