Anwil Wloclawek officially announces the club and the coach Emir Mutapcic have already agreed on terms of the new contract. It means that the Bosnian coach will have a chance to build a new team on his own.

Emir Mutapcic took a post of the head coach of Anwil Wloclawek in December, 2010. Despite many obstacles he needed to face, he was trying to squeeze the best pick of his team. He changed the players’ attitude and he change the tactics. Since his arrival Anwil has become more defensive-minded team rather than offensive one. This plan could make out but Trefl Sopot turned out to be better in direct competition.

In spite of the lack of success, the work ethic, attitude, passion and knowledge of Bosnian coach outweighed and Emir Mutapcic got the chance to lead Anwil in the 2011/2012 season. Both sides have been negotiating for a couple of weeks and now they have finally agreed the extension conditions.

- I am so satisfied that the issue of my possible working here in Wloclawek has been clarified so quickly and it is already done. The most important thing is that both sides, me and the club, are content with new conditions and they trust each other. We have just created the plan which is going to lead us to better results in the following season. We will be adhering to it step by step and I am sure we will manage – the coach said.

Before arriving to Wloclawek, Mutapcic had worked mostly in Germany where he was a head coach of Alba Berlin and New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig. With Alba he has won German championship twice and German Cup once.

The board of Anwil will officially present their old-new coach on a special press conference which will take place next week. Then the coach will have a green light to build a new Anwil team on his own.
