Trefl Sopot took a lead very quickly and maintained it until the last second of the game, although Anwil Wloclawek had some chances to tip the scales, but Filip Dylewicz and Slobodan Ljubotina stole the game in a clutch moment.

Marcin Stefanski and Filip Dylewicz were shining for Trefl Sopot at the very beginning of the game, as the guests took a lead 11:7, and 18:9 some minutes later. Anwil’s situation was rescued by Paul Miller and his substitute Eric Hicks, who both scored 11 points, but Trefl were leading 27:19 after ten minutes.

Anwil had difficulty in defense because of Slobodan Ljubotina who was very active in low-post. Serbian center was only one Trefl’s player at this position because Dragan Ceranic had got injured some days before the game. Nevertheless it wasn’t a problem for the big guy who drew many fouls and scored free throws easily, as the guests were winning 33:25. On the other hand Dardan Berisha got five points, Paul Miller added a triple and Anwil decreased the opponent’s lead to only three points, 38:41.

The team of Igor Griszczuk didn’t play at their highest but they still had some chances to beat Trefl. The guests were able to increase their lead from time to time (49:40 or 58:51), but Anwil were like a shadow and waited for a good occasion to tip the scales. This moment could have been in the middle of the fourth quarter when D.J. Thompson scored five points in a row and the hosts were losing by only one, 66:67.

Unfortunately for them, Slobodan Ljubotina and Filip Dylewicz stole the game for Trefl. Serbian player made a three-pointer (70:66) while Polish forward made three jumpers in a row and all in all the guests won the game by five points 84:79.
