Deividas Dulkys played his seasonal best game, scoring 27 points, Jordan Callahan made a promising debut while Mikolaj Witlinski and Paul Graham added their bricks and Anwil Wloclawek won over Polpharma Starogard Gdanski 85:74. Thanks to that win, the Rottweilers are so close to guarantee the spot in the higher part of the ranking after the regular season.
It was the game of big plays of Anwil Wloclawek players. Firstly it should be started with the seasonal best performance of Deividas Dulkys. Lithuanian guard easily scored 12 points in the first half and the third quarter brought three triples in a row. Finally, Dulkys finished the battle with 27 points setting his new record of the current season. In two previous games he had 25 and two others - 22.
Anwil would have had some problems with winning the game if Dulkys hadn't played his best game, however, the headcoach Milija Bogicevic could count upon some other players.
Paul Graham had a great impact coming off the bench. American guard scored 14 points, simultaneously paying the club back for the trust the club had been giving him for the whole period of his being out of the court due to a knee injury. Mateusz Kostrzewski added 12 bricks and 19-year-old Mikolaj Witlinski took advantage of the time he got from the headcoach. A top European youngster scored 10 points, grabbed eight rebounds and rejected his opponents' shots twice.
Jordan Callahan turned out be the last player whose performance influenced on the final result. The game against Polpharma Starogard Gdanski was his debut in Anwil's jersey and he definitely met the expectations.
American greeted with the fans with a triple and added an easy drive a moment later. Finally, he finished the battle with eight points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals and the headcoach defined his play as promising.
Anwil Wloclawek built an easy margin in the first quarter but later, they slowed down a little and let the guests take control. At the beginning of the second half, they even went ahead of a point (43:42), but it was their first and the last advantage in the game. After that situation, the hosts came back to their rhythm immediately and they finished the battle steadily.
