Anwil Wloclawek arrived at the Ergo Arena in an extremely good mood because they knew that Trefl Sopot were going to play without three key players: Lukasz Koszarek and Lukasz Wisniewski had gone down with an illness while John Turek strained a muscle during practicing in the gym. Anwil also had their headaches because Lukasz Majewski and Nick Lewis couldn’t wear the match jerseys due to some health problems.
Nevertheless, the coach Krzysztof Szablowski had some causes for optimism, moreover that he underlined their players had practiced so hard during a week before the game. Unfortunately all the forerunners didn’t come true. The guests were able to put up a fight only in the first quarter (Trefl were leading 22:21), but from the second period on the only one team dominated on the floor – Trefl Sopot.
Filip Dylewicz turned out to be a key leader of the hosts, who scored 29 points, had nine rebounds and three steals. Second to none Polish forward used his mobility and experience and none of the Anwil players was able to defend against him efficiently. Adam Waczynski added 23 points and six rebounds.
For the guests, Seid Hajric noted 16 points and six rebounds while Dardan Berisha had 15.
