Polish forward Mateusz Bartosz is the last player who has signed a deal with Anwil Wloclawek before the 2012/2013 season. The contract with the ex-PBG Basket Poznan player will be valid until June, 2014.

Mateusz Bartosz debuted in the Polish highest division in 2009 wearing PBG Basket Poznan jersey, but after a couple of games he was loaned to Big Star Tychy, the club that competed in the lower league. Nevertheless, a year later he returned to the best one and he played for AZS Koszalin. He spent there a season and a half but in the middle of last one, he moved to PBG Basket once again. Playing under Milija Bogicevic’s wings, he finished the competition with 6 ppg. and 7,1 rpg.

Now, Bartosz is opening a new chapter in his professional career by signing a two-year deal with Anwil Wloclawek. He is being given a chance to show his skills in one of the best Polish team, while the team has spread the rotation among Polish players thanks to the transfer.

– We acquired Mateusz in order to ensure the roster in case of unscheduled situations. He will be used in rotation and I am sure he will get his minutes on the floor, but everything is up to him – says the headcoach Dainius Adomaitis and adds – I brought Mateusz because I know he is a fighter.

The contract between Bartosz and the club is going to expire in June 2014.
