A couple of weeks ago the roster of the team seemed to be completed but the two loses at the beginning of the season made the board of Anwil Wloclawek change its mind. Thus the club has signed a one-yeard deal with a Lithuanian playmaker Arvydas Eitutavicius.
The first three games of the 2012/2013 season showed that Anwil Wloclawek cannot play without the backup on the point guard position any longer. Having been considered many options, the board of Anwil Wloclawek has finally chosen a playmaker from Lithuania - Arvydas Eitutavicius.
Not only was the 30-year-old player shaped by the Lithuanian school, but also by the American one as he decided to move overseas at the age of 21. He found his spot in the team of American Eagles and spent there four years.
- We are extremely satisfied with the fact that we have acquired a player who has a stable reputation in Lithuania. He even played for the national team a couple of months ago. I am sure he's intelligent, unselfish and he can play in the system. We will benefit from his experience - says the headcoach of the team, Dainius Adomaitis.
Last season Eitutavicius played for the Czech team, BK Prostejov where he was averaging 9,7 ppg., 2,5 apg. and 2,4 rpg. Eventually he finished the competition in Ukraine, playing for Khimik Yuzhny. In the past he was a member of Iraklis Thessaloniki, Neptunas Klaipeda, Spanish Grupo Promobys Tijola and Cholet Basket. For the last team, he nailed a championship.
