Anwil Wloclawek had no chances in the battle against Alba Berlin in the capital of Germany, and finally lost by nineteen points, 73:92.

The beginning of the game did not foreshadow how will it end. When the captain of Anwil Wloclawek, Andrzej Pluta made a triple, the guests were leading 8:7 and even in case of scoring four points by Tadija Dragicevic, they were very close to Alba. Unfortunately, however, it was also the moment when the hosts started to build their advantage.

Julius Jenkins was very active and he quickly scored 11 points and Alba Berlin were winning by thirteen, 25:12. It means that the whole team of Wloclawek made only point more than Alba’s American guard. Nevertheless, the team of Emir Mutapcic were playing on a good level outside, but the main problem was low-post. Derrick Allen, Patrick Femerling and mentioned above Dragicevic gave 20 of 55 points in the first half, as Berliners increased their advantage to twenty-two, 55:33.

Andrzej Pluta, Paul Miller and Dardan Berisha were doing their best to avoid the catastrophe but they effort turned out to be so fruitless, because Alba were still keeping the distance. The hosts were even leading 69:41 at the end of the third quarter but the trio have finally cut the lead into nineteen, 92:73. Finding consolation, it has to be said that Anwil is in the moment of transformation, as the team got a new coach some days ago and the familiarization process must last for both: Bosnian coach and the players.
