Anwil Wloclawek got an invitation from the board of the VTB competition and the club is going to participate in the qualification stage of this league. Anwil will face five other teams which were invited.
The qualification stage of six teams will take place in Lithuanian city Siauliai. Except for the host BC Siauliai and except for Anwil Wloclawek, two Russian teams Enisey Krasnoyarsk and Krasnye Krylia Samara, one Finn Honka Espoo Playboys and one Ukrainian Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk will also participate in the competition.
It is probable that the whole group will be divided into two smaller groups and each team is going to play at least two matches. The qualification stage will take place September, 27. The organisational meeting with all teams is going to be held in July, 24 in Riga.
Only two of six teams will get promotion to the regular season of the VTB.
