After two disappointing defeats, Anwil Wloclawek at last won a league battle. Current vice-champion was leading from the very beginning to the end and finally beat Siarka Tarnobrzeg 75:60.

Like it was in EuroCup game against Alba Berlin, the head coach of Anwil Wloclawek, Igor Griszczuk made Chris Thomas the starting five point guard  against Siarka Tarnobrzeg. American player repaid his coach for the trust and controlled the game very well. Nikola Jovanovic used his passes and scored 11 points as the hosts were leading 25:14 after the first quarter.

In the second quarter the guests decreased the Anwil’s lead a bit, to only six points, 41:35, but that situation didn’t last for a long time. After a break, Jovanovic continued to play very effectively, as well as Paul Miller and Dardan Berisha. Serbian forward scored twice behind the 6,25 meter line but when it comes to American center - he had a big role not only in offense, but also in defense, where he blocked Louis Truscott four times. Thanks to this Igor Griszczuk’s team had 11 points of advantage (60:49) after 30 minutes of competing.

In the middle of the fourth quarter Anwil increased its lead to even almost 20 points (75:56), but the final result was 75:60. Jovanovic scored 23 points for winners, Miller added 14 and 9 rebounds, while Berisha had 12. Marek Miszczuk was a key player of Siarka – 18 points.
