The game started with points of Andrzej Pluta but Piotr Stelmach quickly answered. Polish big guy scored eight points in a row and PBG Basket were leading 10-7 and 17-12. However, Anwil were able to cut the lead even in the first quarter and the result was 21-19 for them after ten minutes.

Anwil were playing well at the beginning of the game but the real show was presented in the second quarter. The head coach of Anwil, Igor Griszczuk decided to use his bench players and they repaid his trust by scoring 30 points in the period. Only Eric Hicks was able to score 12, while the whole host team had only 15. After a half Anwil were leading at Poznan 53:35 and were at their best.

The break didn’t bring up any changes. Eddie Miller, the best scorer in PBG, was trying to cut the lead but he wasn’t able to do this. Anwil easily and perfectly controlled the pace of the game and scored when they needed. Finally the guests won 89:73 dominating in each element of the game.
