AZS Politechnika Warszawska did not turn out to be a competitive opponent for Anwil Wloclawek as the hosts won the match 91:76 at the halfway point of the regular season. Unfortunately, Dardan Berisha got injured.

When Jaroslaw Mokros scored in low-post, AZS Politechnika Warszawska tipped the balance, leading 15:14 and everything spelt big troubles for the hosts. Nonetheless, from that moment on Anwil found their rhythm, especially in the offense, and were winning 48:40 after two quarters.

Dardan Berisha had a great impact on Anwil offensive shape as he scored 14 points in the first half. Being extremely motivated from the very beginning, 23-year-old shooting guard was trying to show his best features in the battle against his previous club. Unfortunately, an effective streak was interrupted by a piece of misfortune just after the break. Berisha flew to the basket but when he landed, his ankle got twisted.

However, Anwil continued their offensive efficiency as the other players shouldered the burden. Krzysztof Szubarga scored 17 points and had 7 assists while Corsley Edwards added 12 and 7 rebounds. Bartlomiej Woloszyn gave a good backup from the bench as he scored 10 and grabbed 6 balls.

Eventually the hosts won the battle 91:76 and didn’t show any shadow of doubts which team was better that night.
