Last week Seid Hajric was the leader of Anwil Wloclawek, noting 29 points and 16 rebounds in the game against Siarka Jezioro Tarnobrzeg. On Sunday it was John Allen who stole the game and led the hosts to win their seventeenth game in the regular season. Thanks to that win, Anwil finished the first phrase of the season at the fourth position.
Allen spent only 26 minutes on the floor but it wasn't an obstacle for him to note a season-best game: 28 points, three rebounds, three steals and three fouls drawn. American guard scored 9-for-14 in two points shots and had 2-for-3 behind the arc.
Despite that Allen's outbreak, Anwil had some problems against AZS Politechnika especially in the first half. The guests let the hosts score 40 in that period, having some problems with Mateusz Ponitka in the defense. Nevertheless, the second half, and mainly the third quarter, showed the difference between these two clubs as Anwil won it 40-22 including 22-9 in the third quarter.
It is worth adding that that victory was grabbed without Corsley Edwards and Nick Lewis who both are still inactive due to some health problems, however that second player's name appeared in the game protocol on Sunday.
