A great Anwil Wloclawek's weaknesss was showed by the team of Trefl Sopot in the second half. The guests were losing 28:40 in the 24. minute of the Wednesday's game but later the head coach Karlis Muiznieks asked for a time-out and introduced zone defense.

That 2-3 defensive system, using a colloquial expression, totally killed the hosts who did not have any idea how to play against it. Lawrence Kinnard was the only guy who were trying to attempt shots but he was not as efficient as before, when he had scored 11 points at the beginning of the second quarter.

Anwil lacked of Dardan Berisha who got sick in the game day. Kosovar-Polish guard could have been increased the behind the arc efficiency - the whole team of the hosts had only 4-for-14 three-point shots.

Coming back to the point, Trefl, thanks to a strong defense and using Lukasz Wisniewski, Lukasz Koszarek and John Turek in offense, quickly cut the Anwil's margin and equalised the game even in the third quarter (42:42). Later they started to build their own advantage, having a 17-0 run in the fourth quarter (to a 63:46 result). Between the 24th and 37th minute, Anwil lost that period of the game... 6:35.
