Anwil Wloclawek beat PBG Basket in an away game at Poznan in the 20th round of Tauron Basket Liga. The guests nailed the advantage in the second quarter and controlled the game to the very end.

Krzysztof Szubarga had 16 points and drew six fouls, while Dardan Berisha gave a spark off the bench with 12 points and three assists in only 19 minutes on the floor. Both players shouldered the responsibility in the clutch moments, having a back-up from Corlsey Edwards and Nick Lewis who combined with 24 points and eight rebounds and that were the crucial numbers while the guests took two points from Poznan.

PBG Basket Poznan won rebounds, however they weren’t able to use the second-chances due to Anwil’s solid defense. The guests stole 12 balls (4 of PBG) and forced the hosts to make 18 turnovers. Only Djordje Micic had six of them which obscured a bit his generally good performance thanks to 21 points. Damian Kulig was the second best face of Poznan team while he had 16 points, 13 rebounds but he also made some mistakes (four turnovers).

The first quarter was more or less equal but the second one tipped the balance towards Anwil. The team of Emir Mutapcic shined on both sides of the floor, scoring 29 points and letting PBG score only 16. That means Anwil was leading by seventeen before the break (48:31) which let them play without any pressure in the second half. Although the hosts were trying to cut the lead, they decreased it to only fourteen as Anwil finally won 78:64.

Lukasz Majewski stopped his series of his worse games as he could use his strength and power this time. He spent 23 minutes in the game scoring a half of his attempts which gave him 11 points.
