It was one of the games that Anwil Wloclawek players would like to forget about, however a it is not possible. The “Rottweilers” should remember about that loss and draw a conclusion before the next battles. In an away game Anwil lost against PGE Turow Zgorzelec 60:87.

The hope abandoned just after six minutes, by the time when PGE Turow had done a 15-0 run and took a 17:3 lead. Konrad Wysocki scored nine points while Giedrius Gustas added six and the hosts were winning 22:12 after ten minutes.

The guests had many problems with organizing offensive strategies as Turow presented the season best defense and let the opponents score only 25 points in the first half. Simultaneously, they continued to spread the Anwil’s defense and made easy baskets. When Gustas made a triple PGE Turow were leading 34:14 while a couple of shots from the low post and free throws gave a 51:25 lead before the break.

Not only did the team of the head coach Emir Mutapcic have some problems with the offense but they also played very ineffective in defense and the hosts made some easy baskets after many fast breaks. Ronald Moore turned out to be a man conductor as he dished six assists. When it comes to Gustas, Lithuanian playmaker scored 17 points scoring 6-of-6.

At the end of the third quarter, Mutapcic felt the game is already lost and he let his young player Michal Pietrzak and a convalescent Bartlomiej Woloszyn appear on the floor. They both combined with 13 points and it was only one positive of Wednesday’s game.
