A Thursday game didn’t go Anwil Wloclawek’s way from the very beginning although Corsley Edwards had a lot of energy and scored eight points in a row easily. Energa Czarni’s American guard duo of Stanley Burrell and Darnell Hinson assured the leading for the guests after the first quarter thanks to their quickness and shooting skills.

The Dainius Adomaitis’ team was also winning after the half (48:45) as well as after the third quarter 69:65. Had it not been for Lorinza Harrington and John Allen, the guests’ advantage would have been even worse because Energa Czarni were leading by eight points at the end of the third quarter (69:61).

Corsley Edwards was the first who cut the opponent’s lead as he made an easy lay-up (73:72) against David Weaver who had four personal fouls at that moment so he wasn’t able to defend as strong as he wanted. 32-year-old experienced big guy used that handicap with malice afterthought and thanks to that, Anwil believed they can tip the balance and win the game.

Despite Edwards had 22 points, Dardan Berisha turned out to be a clutch-player. 23-year-old shooting guard had only three points before the fourth quarter so everything was foreshadowing not a good game for him. However, in the last period of the game he scored 16 of his 19 points, making four triples and Anwil finally won the Christmas battle 93:87.
