The Rottweilers started the game easily and took a lead 9:4, and 14:12. Unfortunately, from the middle of the first quarter on, Stelmet assumed control on the Sunday's battle.
Stelmet ran away to a greater distance for the first time in the middle of the second quarter when Craig Brackins made five points in a row (37:24). Anwil were able to cut that lead to only eight (29:37) and Mihailo Uvalin called for a time-out. Anwil had hope to make Stelmet's margin even shorter but next eight points were grabbed by the guests as Vladimir Dragicevic made five and Lukasz Koszarek added a triple. Stelmet was leading 45:29 and almost kept that level before a break (48:35).
When Mantas Cesnauskis made another triple in the 27th minute, the team of Zielona Gora reached its highest game lead - 67:47. Nevertheless, the hosts weren't going to give up. Michal Sokolowski made six points and dished an assists to Deividas Dulkys who finished with a three-pointer and it was only eleven (56:67). Moreover, It was only six when Mikolaj Witlinski as the first and above-mentioned Dulkys as the second, both launched triples. Anwil was only two shots (70:76) behind its opponent but it was also a moment when the hosts' hope was abandoned. Craig Brackines answered with a triple, Christian Eyenga made the same while Dragicevic and Koszarek finished the game more efficiently than the Rottweilers.
Finally, Stelmet won over Anwil 94:77 and made a kill thanks to 16 triples in just 28 attempts. That efficiency (57 per cent) turned out be the crucial thing.
Deividas Dulkys had 19 points (four rebounds, four assists and four steals too) for the hosts and Michal Sokolowski added 17 (six fouls forced, four assists and three steals).
