A Blow From The Rivals

Wednesday, 19 October 2022, 21:56, Sebastian Falkowski

Anwil Włocławek lost to Finland's Karhu Basket 88:89 in the second round of the FIBA Europe Cup. The rivals made a winning shot in the last seconds of the game.

Anwil and Karhu were hungry for the second win in FIBA Europe Cup. The opponents started the game better and built an advantage (42:26 in the second quarter). The Rottweilers once again in this season showed character and reduced the difference to three points before the halftime.

Despite the fact that in the last minutes of the game the opponents were close to victory (87:81 30 seconds before the final buzz), Anwil has struck again (two 3-pointers from Phil Greene IV). Unfortunately, in the last seconds Karhu made a shot from the paint and eventually won.

Phil Greene IV was Anwil's best scorer. The point guard finished with 28 points (best result in the season so far), three assists, steals, a block and a rebound.
